Daddy Long Legs

Music & Lyrics by Paul Gordon
Book by John Caird
Based on the novel by Jean Webster

The 2015 Off-Broadway hit musical comes to the Chicago suburbs for one weekend only! This one-of-a-kind staging captures the intimacy and timelessness of this incredible classic.

Jerusha Abbott is the oldest orphan in the John Grier Home. That is until an anonymous benefactor agrees to send her to college at no cost other than a series of monthly letters updating him on her studies. Elated to finally have someone to correspond with, she lovingly names her mysterious sponsor “Daddy Long Legs” and the two become hopelessly enamored by one another.

After a successful workshop in October of 2020, this timely tale of longing for connection concluded a full-scale, covid-safe run in June of 2021.
